Time to mow the grass again….not! As I look around on my drive to visit my Mom I notice how tall the grass is getting. Homeowners take pride in having an immaculate lawn. When we lived in our home the past 10 years we would try to get out and be the the first in the neighborhood to mow! It was a competition! The lawn that abutted our property was always immaculate. A retired couple that spent hours grooming it. This year we live in a townhouse and the association keeps our grass looking lovely! That being said- For the first time in my life I can enjoy that lush green grass! It is so green today. With the trees loaded with green leaves and buds reflecting on the lawn….we are surrounded in green. Grass is my happy flower right now. I am at peace in this stage of my life….watching the grass grow and not having to do a thing about it.
Here are a few famous quotes to ponder for fun:
“You could cover the whole earth with asphalt, but sooner or later green grass would break through”
“The grass always looks greener on the other side”
“ It’s only fair. When I was a kid, I mowed the lawn. Now, somebody else’s kid can mow the lawn.”“A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining, the breeze is blowing, the birds are singing, and the lawn mower is broken”
