This pretty ground covering needs little soil to grow in. It is said you can sprinkle some seeds in a rocky bed and the flower will grow between the rocks. Strange as this sounds….in Texas the mountain pink is a wildflower that grows in dirt areas. But up here in Jersey it is a perrenial that we plant to enjoy. My mother has some planted near  her sidewalk and it creeps and spreads every year like a ground cover. It has been there all the years I have been alive (and thats a long time haha} and still looks colorful!

  1. I learned from Kurt Mai that your Aunt Marion grew mountain pink to sell along with other flowers—-she always had some along her driveway.

  2. I simply want to say I’m newbie to blogs and actually loved this website. Most likely I’m going to bookmark your website . You amazingly come with remarkable stories. Thank you for revealing your website page.
