Tis the season to enjoy that fall color! The maple trees look great right now but eventually they will fall to the ground. Today I was watching the landscapers at our new condo cleaning up all the leaves. Its a job I do not miss. Now I can enjoy the leaves without the after clean up 🙂
The maple leaf is big in Canada (on there flag) but here in N.J.we love them too! When my youngest son Matt and I used to take walks down by the Covered Bridge by my old house we would walk through the thick leaves. Matt was only 4 years old and he was a dawdler when on a walk, kicking and rustling the leaves. He would have to stop and pick up every shaped leaf he could find along the way. From him I learned how to slow down and enjoy life. I owe him great thanks for being a slowpoke 🙂
I love to rake the leaves up in a huge pile and let my kids run and jump in them too. Probably one of my favorite Mom memories! This was before video games and cell phones……happy flower times with my boys. But like the little sprig of maple tree we once planted….The maple grows tall and older like my sons.
