While purple is the color of royalty, and pink the color of youth, lavender is femininity all grown up. Representing refinement, grace, and elegance, lavender holds an almost sacred place in nature – with violet flowers often considered the most delicate and precious. An arrangement filled with these genteel blossoms send a message of feminine beauty.
My favorite color lavender often spills over into my arrangements. I love the color and it adds a splash of femininity to the bouquet. One of the reasons I love spring so much is my ole favorite color appears everywhere.
When God gave the lavender plant a scent…I think he got it right. Cheerful and airy…the smell makes us smile! And I have heard the sniff has an essential oil in it that calms us. Who doesn’t need that ?
