The black-eyed susan is a yellow flower with a dark center….hence the name. Birds and bees love to pollinate on this type flower…as you can see the nectar shown in this photo I took. I won third place in the NJ State Flower Show with this photo. It grows in masses of flowers in the summers full sun. They will wilt if they don’t get a steady amount of water. They are growing this time of the year in NJ. So you will need to be out there twice a day watering!
